Spain Thank You

Jonathan, Bill, and Youth,
I just wanted you all to know how proud I am of each and everyone of you! You did an awesome performance last night and I could see Jesus in your faces and in your singing and in your actions. You make me so proud! Your visit to the VA was particularly special to me, because I was a candystriper at the VA in Johnson City when I was 15 and 16. I know that it meant so much for those veterans to be around young people. I bet they'll be talking about your visit for a long time. Half of you are (were) my sweet little Mission Friends and it makes my heart proud to see how you have grown in Christ. Always keep Him in the center of your lives. Much love to each and everyone of you. - Miss Brenda Spain

Bill presented Nathan with the Glory Stick for ministry above the call of duty. Julianna, our Queen Goober, gave her sceptor, the Goober Stick, to Chris for several occasions of gooberish behavior.

A couple of people brought their parrots to the park. They let several of our youth hold these beautiful birds. We sang some upbeat songs and the birds "danced" along.

This is another shot of the choir singing in Pritchard Park.

We had a great time in Pritchard Park in downtown Asheville. We were surprised by how many people came to hear us sing. Nathan and James David played drums and Glenda played guitar with the choir. We sang some of the same songs several times because people kept coming and coming. Our team shared the gospel several people and prayed with others during our time in the park. It was a beautiful evening and a great time to be in this location.

Lisa is driving the equipment van. She is doing a great job, but we miss Mister Wayne.

Brogan and Maicie enjoying the drive along I-40 through the mountains.

Tracy Luna is driving the big bus. He has done a great job handling this vehicle in the narrow streets of Asheville. Continute to pray for our safety!

Chi Rho is on the road again!

D-Day Tomorrow

Get your rest. We will begin loading luggage at 7 am and depart at 8 am tomorrow. Sleep tight.

Biltmore Tour Added to Itinerary

Newsflash: Our plans for next Friday have changed. Instead of going to Ghost Town in the Sky, we will be touring the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The Biltmore has extended a promotion that allows everyone under 18 to enter for free. We will provide a meal stipend sufficient to purchase lunch at the Biltmore Stables Restaurant as well. This is a late but great change to our itinerary. Note the old church bus in the image above. Chi Rho sang at the Biltmore on tour in 2005.
