Saturday

Today got off to a difficult start, but it have been a wonderful evening. We miss Lonnie who is home sick, but Bob has done a great job driving the big bus. Our schedule has gone very well and we have met some of the most gracious folks. We sang for a whole bunch of folks at a local housing project and they were so very appreciative. It was beautiful to pray for them and share the Good News with them. They were a great encouragement to us and such a blessing.

Greenville is a beautiful city. The Reedy River Falls Park is gorgeous. The Sons of Thunder drew a crowd wherever they played and we sang for countless folks throughout the park. The youth were so kind to everyone. We witnessed to people, prayed with people, encouraged people, and invited people to church. The evening certainly exceeded my expectations. What a great evening to be in Greenville.

We had a sweet time of worship around the pool this evening. I saw the sparkle of God's love in the eyes of our youth as they talked about the people they met today.

Sherry at the housing development who thanked us with tear filled eyes for singing. She boldly told our youth that were doing something that mattered.

Another lady who asked us to pray for peace in her housing unit because the residents don't always get along.

An 86 year old lady who recently lost her husband and seemed despondent until we started to sing Amazing Grace. She then began to sing along. Her son was so grateful.

Countless families who stopped to listened in the park, from bridges, and along trails as we sang the Good News.

Thank you Lord that You continue to open our eyes to people all around us who need to know that You love them.
Thank you for giving us strength sufficient for each day. Tomorrow we will ask you to do the same.
Give us rest this night. Amen.
